TOKYO, November 30, 2021 –
Pasona Group (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Group CEO Yasuyuki Nambu) announced that it will sponsor TEDxAwaji "Be a Ripple – The influence of small choices", an event organized by TEDx, an American nonprofit organization devoted to sharing "ideas worth spreading".

TED (Technology Entertainment Design) is a nonprofit organization based in the United States that organizes the world-renowned TED conferences, and offers a platform for TEDx, independently organized TED events held around the world by organizers officially licensed by TED.
With Japan's rapidly ageing population and declining birth rate, particularly in rural areas, there is a growing trend for regional communities to be innovative through incorporating new ideas brought by people from overseas to revitalize the region.
The theme of the upcoming TEDxAwaji event is "Be a Ripple – The influence of small choices", and is based on the myth in the Kojiki, Japan’s oldest historical record, in which a drop of salt water falls from the tip of a spear, forming Awaji Island, the first island of Japan. At the event, entrepreneurs and artists living on Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture, will give talks on the internationalization of Awaji Island and regional revitalization through new businesses.
As a sponsor for the event, Pasona Group aims to promote Awaji Island's charms and initiatives to the world and accelerate efforts to realize Awaji Island as a "Global Island".
