TOKYO, June 28th, 2023 –
Pasona Group Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Group CEO: Yasuyuki Nambu) and UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research) have signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) on Wednesday, June 28th, pledging to support digital skill advancement and employment support for women and young adults.
Established as an autonomous body within the United Nations in 1965, UNITAR primarily operates training and skill development in developing countries, particularly Least Developed Countries, Small Island Developing States, and other vulnerable groups and communities.
The MoU between Pasona Group and UNITAR pledges training for digital skill advancement and individual employment support for those whose lives have been thrown into disarray due to the circumstances of their country, such as Ukrainian women who have been forced to evacuate and young women in Sub-Saharan Africa facing difficult employment prospects.
By entering into the MoU, Pasona Group and UNITAR will support promote women's advancement overseas and the growth and economic acceleration of developing countries.
