CONCEPT

"Thank You, Life"

Pasona Group's job is to harness the potential of the individual.
The company aims to realize a society where everyone can play an active role in a healthy and lively manner.

"Thank You, Life".

Through the pavilion, Pasona Group aspires to create a world in which all people, from children to the elderly, are honored and filled with gratitude for life.

Our society is a part of the natural world, and humanity's continued existence is thanks to nature.

However, at some point, we seem to have started to take this for granted and forgotten our sense of gratitude.

Giving thanks to each other, to the rich blessings bestowed upon humanity by nature, and for the fact that we are alive right now.
We ought to create a new world in which these expressions of thanks resonate and are passed down to the next generation.

Pasona Group’s hope is to see many people from all over the world visit its pavilion and become creators of the future, coming together to create the "Natureverse" (Nature × Universe) in which gratitude resonates.

Message from Pasona Group Founder & Group CEO Yasuyuki Nambu "Towards Actualizing the NATUREVERSE"

In 2025, the year of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, Pasona Group enters the 50th year since its foundation. With the corporate philosophy of providing "Solutions to Society's Problems" unchanged since our founding, we have taken on many challenges.

What is "society's problem" in the present age, if not "health"? Health of the body, health of the mind, and health of society. A "society of well-being" is comprised of these three components, and is the future for which we strive. Dr. Yoshiki Sawa, a leading figure in the field of regenerative medicine using iPS cells, shares this feeling. Meeting Dr. Sawa is what led me to decide to exhibit a pavilion at the Osaka, Kansai Expo.

Nothing is more important for "health of the body" than food. Human health is sustained by food cultivated in rich soil under the bounty of the sun. Should we not be more caring and grateful for nature, and strive to restore its richness?

This is why the concept of our pavilion is "Thank You, Life.", and the name is "PASONA NATUREVERSE". The name "NATUREVERSE" is instilled with the desire to create a world of respect and care for nature. Since the Industrial Revolution, we have rapidly developed technology, destroyed nature, and brought environmental problems upon the world. In truth, technology must be developed to bring richness in nature and health in people. "Harmony between nature and technology" is absolutely vital.

What is important for "health of the mind" and "health of society" is a society that prizes the value of "neighborliness", that is, a "Mutual Society", brimming with compassion for one another. That compassion and spiritual richness is "true fulfillment" for us as people.

After the Expo, we will continue the legacy of our pavilion by relocating it to Awaji Island. Through the "PASONA NATUREVERSE" pavilion, Pasona Group will broadcast to the world a society of well-being which creates health of the body, mind, and society, and a society of true fulfillment in which all can flourish with vibrance and richness.

iPS Heart Exhibition Body Zone

An "iPS Heart" will be exhibited at the pavilion, cultivated with living cells using iPS-cell-derived iPS myocardial (cardiac muscle) sheets, which have already been practically implemented in the field. It is a solid, three-dimensional heart created with living cells using biomaterials and bioengineering. By exhibiting the actual pulse of an iPS Heart in culture fluid, Pasona Group will broadcast the possibilities of new technologies that are building the future of medicine and the future of life.

Comment by Yoshiki Sawa (executive producer)

In collaboration with Cuorips Inc., a leading regenerative medicine startup company, PASONA NATUREVERSE is conducting research & development with a view toward exhibiting an iPS heart created from iPS cells as a "symbol of life".
With the aim of showing visitors a realistic moving heart, PASONA NATUREVERSE will exhibit a three-dimensional and dynamic cardiac muscle model. This attempt at the dynamic exhibition of a three-dimensional model of an iPS cell-based heart may well be a world-first. With the aim of putting on an exhibition that displays the potential of regenerative medicine technology and that lets visitors experience the grandeur and excitement of life, we will pursue further development in preparation for the opening of the exhibition in April 2025.

He has received numerous accolades, including four Japan Academy Prizes for Music.

Comment by Akira Senju (Sound Producer)

The lyrics of these two songs, "Thank You, life" and "To the Future of 8 Billion People," were created by weaving together many essays, compositions, and words submitted by Pasona Group employees. We then blended these thoughts into music and sang them. I believe that it was fate that allowed us to have Ms. Ayaka Hirahara sing the song, which was exactly what I had in mind when I first envisioned it. I hope it will be a big message. May we all sing in unison. I created this song while believing in the power of music.

UNIFORM

VIP Attendants

The uniforms worn by PASONA NATUREVERSE VIP attendants were designed by Harumi Fujimoto, a 98-year-old active fashion designer who creates dresses utilizing traditional Japanese crafts. The designs are filled with the desire to breathe life into Japanese traditions and to pass on the beauty and value of kimonos and obis to the next generation.

Pavilion Attendants

The design blends Japanese tradition with the future and harmonizes with the pavilion's theme. The vest, incorporating ammonite spirals, symbolizes the evolutionary connection of life. Accented with traditional kimono fabric, the light colors and gold embellishments create a sophisticated look.
